MASTERCLASS

In this workshop Kristina will share methods and processes in making work that deals with environmental change. Addressing how to translate an idea to an embodied state, Kristina asks, how can we work beyond the limitations of our human form to achieve transformation in performance?

Based on her work A Faint Existence, she will lead the group through detailed imagery and sensitivity work to prepare the body for exploring deeper into concepts and ideas around impermanence, fragility and transformation that make up her work.

Thinking about the many processes of making performance work, Kristina will open up conversations with the group in how we might collaborate with others, being dancers, musicians or designers. Through collaboration a common language can be developed, realising the vision for making dance work that transcends the expectations of the constraints of a theatre space.

*Suitable for early to mid-career dancers and choreographers, including artists currently undertaking tertiary training.
