Stephen is responsible for the coordination and development of the performing arts program in a suite of venues including the Ulumbarra Theatre, Capital Theatre and the Engine Room in Bendigo. After working extensively in technical production and event services for many years, and more recently in venue administration and programming, Stephen is now a key member of the team providing the successful delivery of numerous events and projects that continue to build Bendigo’s reputation as a leading regional centre for the Performing Arts. He has represented Capital Venues & Events on various national and state level forums, touring consortiums and panels, and maintains a comprehensive understanding of the national performing arts industry and the mechanisms for regional touring.

Capital Venues and Events operate a suite of venues in central Bendigo. From large traditional theatres to small studio spaces, they manage and facilitate a wide range of performances, conferences, workshops, meetings, exhibitions and other events. The team at Capital Venues and Events also produce, promote and deliver an annual program of performing arts events, various festivals, small regional tours and special functions on behalf of the City of Greater Bendigo. There is a strong emphasis on building and maintaining an audience for relevant new Australian work and contemporary arts events.
