Markéta Perroud
Markéta, a former professional dancer, has been with Tanec Praha NGO from 2010. After working as a member of the artistic board, in 2011 she was appointed co-director of TANEC PRAHA Festival and in 2015 she became also the artistic co-director of Tanec Praha NGO. She is actively involved in developement of international cooperations. She represents Tanec Praha in Aerowaves and EDN - European Dancehouse Network.
Tanec Praha, one of the leading organization of the Czech dance field, has 3 basic missions: to organise high quality contemporary dance festivals (TANEC PRAHA* and Czech Dance Platform), to run a year-round dance venue PONEC, to develop international cooperation to help Czech dance artists get into dialogue with the international scene, share experience and develop high quality artistic and community work.
*Every June since 1989, the international festival TANEC PRAHA presents the diversity and quality of the current foreign and domestic dance scene, gives space for experimentation and crossover with other genres, and supports the emergence of new works as co-productions. The program, which addresses both the general and professional public, is structured into program lines such as Event of the Season (essential groups and figures from the world dance), festival co-production in international collaboration, TANEC PRAHA FOR CHILDREN, Dance NEWs (space for young talents), TANEC PRAHA FOR STUDENTS, dance in public and non-traditional spaces and others.
