Jordan Peimer is responsible for all aspects of the university’s presenting program at UC San Diego, where he has been Executive Director of ArtPower since 2014.

From 1996-2014, he was Vice President and Director of Public Programs at the Skirball Cultural Center, Los Angeles. Peimer curated and administered a fifty-week intercultural series of local, national and international musicians, performers, choreographers, lecturers and filmmakers. Prior to that, he was a Co-Artistic Director at Highways Performance Space in Santa Monica. He sat on Conseil Artistique of Rencontres Chorégraphiques Internationales de Seine-Saint-Denis (Bagnolet Festival) [1996 – 2000] for which he created the West Coast platform DanceWest

Our primary audience is University students, so master classes, workshops and educational activities are a major focus of our work. We have one of the largest (by percentage) student audiences on the West Coast, though we still draw audiences heavily from our community. Our goal is to continue to introduce new artists, forms and modalities to the University and San Diego.
