I am the Festival Director of Castlemaine State Festival. Previous to this I was Creative Producer at La Boite Theatre Company and Curator of Brisbane Festival’s Theatre Republic. In 2017 along with Kate Usher, I founded Supercell Dance Festival in Brisbane. Australia’s first annual international contemporary dance festival.

Curatorial Statement:

Castlemaine State Festival is the largest multi-arts festival in regional Australia. Held every two years in the central Victorian town of Castlemaine (pop. 6000), the festival presents works of all forms sourced locally and from all around the world. Major pieces of contemporary dance in the 2019 program are Equinox by Deep Soulful Sweats (Sarah Aiken and Rebecca Jensen), Body Concert by South Korean company Ambiguous Dance Company and My Urrwai by Ghenoa Gela. We are curatorially interested in works that can demonstrate the transformational possibilities of dance to the broadest audience base.
