Feng-Chih Tsou is a programmer, producer and festival organizer with focus on contemporary dance and theatre. Her dance project as a producer “Terrace on the Hill”, a cross-culture collaboration between the French percussionist Roland Auzet and the indigenous choreographer Watan Tusi from Taiwan, won the first prize in the biennale Pulima Art Award for the performing art in 2018. In the National Theatre, She has been responsible for major dance projects, including those in Taiwan International Festival of Arts (TIFA) and biennale Dance in Autumn Festival. In her early career at the National Theatre, she was an outstanding promoter for theatre and dance programs in Marketing Department, responsible for marketing strategies and audience development. She received her master’s degree in Drama and Theatre Studies from Royal Holloway, University of London.
National Theatre and Concert Hall (NTCH), located in capital Taipei City, aims to cultivate the contemporary performing art in Taiwan and to make international connections. NTCH works closely with local artists in commission and producing works but also actively with international artists for collaborations and co-productions. Its significant event Taiwan International Festival of Arts (TIFA) presents prestigious companies. The biennale dance/theatre festivals in Autumn explore cutting edge artists with critical views on contemporary issues rich in content and creativity. In other events, NTCH presents site-specific and multidisciplinary projects. NTCH also hosts residency programs and makes alliance with international venues and festivals. NTCH will keep on devoting to international collaborations, build an extended artistic network and encourage cultural exchanges.
