Narelle joined Performing Lines in 2013 from her role at Sydney Opera House as Producer for Education & Young People, where she co-curated an annual program of performances for young audiences. A producer and project manager, Narelle has worked across a range of roles in the performing arts for the past 15 years. She has toured to countries including China, New Caledonia, Monaco and France, and worked a gamut of performance spaces, from renowned venues such as Brooklyn Academy of Music, Brooklyn, and the Musee du quai Branly, Paris, to creating a stage for a performance in a dry Central Australian riverbed.
In her current role, Narelle works closely with independent artists and small companies to develop, evolve and tour work, and has been responsible for managing a number of major national performing arts initiatives and projects, including Mobile States and the Blak Lines touring initiative.
In 2009, Narelle also lived and worked in Northern Ireland, where she ran Ransom Productions, a small independent theatre company in Belfast with a focus on commissioning, producing and developing new writing, and developing partnerships with other new writing venues in the UK.
