Josh Wright is a creative producer with a love for contemporary and experimental art forms by independent artists. Based in Melbourne, he has produced and programmed for a range of arts presenting organisations including: Producer at Arts House (current role since 2015), Dancehouse, Ausdance Victoria, Malthouse Theatre and Ausdance Victoria. Josh maintains an independent practice as Creative Producer of feminist theatre mavericks THE RABBLE. Josh has been a lead festival producer for consortium and collaborative Festivals including Dance Massive (2011, 2013, 2015, 2017), Festival of Live Art (2016, 2018) and the Australian Dance Awards (2009, 2010). Josh and has delivered a range of public, exhibition and learning programs including: the inaugural national Arts Learning Forum (2015) for the Australia Council; Helium independent seasons at Malthouse Theatre (2012-14); Australian representation at the Venice Biennale (2007); Melbourne New Leaders Network (2009-11); and Martin Creed’s Work No. 850 at Tate Britain.
